System Overview Students-Parents-Administration-Library-Teachers Online (SPALTO) is an integrated school management system that provides tools for school administrators, principals, teachers, students and parents in performing their roles in achieving high quality of education. Business Process Objectives Provide a means for school management to efficiently process applications for new students; Provide an accurate system of generating invoices and recording payments; Provide an efficient channel for parents to enrol their child to BHCS; Control and monitor the inventory of PACE booklets and other school materials; Create a secured, central repository for students’ profile and performance records that is easily accessible to teachers, parents, and school management; Control and monitor students’ daily goals and achievements; Monitor the implementation of discipline policy for students; Provide a means of relaying information efficiently across all school staff, students, and parents; Manage the inventory of books, videos and audio materials in the library and monitor the status of loans. System Objectives Support the project’s business process objectives by implementing an integrated school management system to do the following: Provide an online facility for school admin to create and view applications for new students and automatically set the application status as they go through the defined enrolment process; Provide a facility that will automatically calculate the total charge for PACE booklets based on actual usage of students and maintain a table of discounts per student and other school fees as basis for generating invoices; Provide a facility that will record and monitor multiple payments for a single invoice; Provide an online facility for parents and guardians to view and make payments for their invoices; Provide an online access to parents to fill up and submit application forms for new students via the Internet; Provide a facility for school staff to initiate orders for PACE booklets for a particular student or for stock and to record the deliveries of such orders; Provide an inventory system that links to the creation of invoices for verification of item availability and stock level updates and to user profiles for accountability monitoring; Provide a facility for supervisors to record/monitor the grades of each student in different performance measures; Control the recording of daily goals by the students and provide a facility for supervisors to review such goals; Provide a facility that will automatically set a student for detention, suspension, and expulsion and allow the supervisors to set the status of serving such penalties; Scope This document covers the design of the following modules: Registration of New Students Billing Inventory Management Student Progress Recording/Monitoring Discipline policy monitoring Library Management System Miscellaneous modules More… Everything is customizable based on your school's need!
